    I was told by a landrover mechanic yesterday to only run engine oil as gear oil will affect the brass shims life span, Making them wear quicker..?????

    rick130 I considered your advice looked at the facts and put castrol vmx in mine yesterday comments thus far:
    Gear change is vastly improved
    Doesn't seem to be quieter
    Maybe psycological but it does seem a bit smoother

    Good Idea I would think
