I didn't walk to Sydney to get it!

Not sure if Anthony is still there, but he was a great help over the phone...

spoke to Landrovers Only in Townsville and was told not to worry about it. Sounds good to me.

I'll give it a go If I have to get one I will..

Tim wasvery helpfull, so I would recommend him on this basis

    Regards Andrew

While mine would run with the clip broken and the play in the shaft, it ran badly at times because the shaft could bounce about a little. You should fix it because next time you've got to get the rotor button off you run the risk of the same thing happening again even with a little upwards pressure. With Murphy being the ***** he is, you'll probably have to do this in the bush in the dark and do you really want to have to reset the weights and springs again?

The number next to the part is how Cooper's know it and they should still be able to send one. If you've already reset the weights and springs and returned the dizzy to the engine, you can simply lift the rotor off (with care) and press in the clip.

BTW - LRA told me they break the old buttons off with a hammer and screw driver rather than pull up on it to avoid the problem. Seems crude but I guess it costs less in time.

Tim at landrovers only is an absolute god send and Id reccomend him to anyone. the number of times hes had a part ive needed and let me have it cheap and pay it off and have you seen his house and yard.....envy

If I broke a rover in cairns or anywhere within 500k of townsville Id push the bloody thing to his workshop.

So Tim didn't have one but Coopers did $ 16.50 . A lot you say so did I , howevere its cheaper at twice the price than having to hitch from C'harters Towers to Townsville.

If I had them and no one else did Id probably charge $50

Have just replaced the distributor and Static timed it as I dont have a Timing Light.

Taken it for a run, and the difference in "get up and go " is amazing, whoever tuned it last time must have been a Knuckle head, it must have been retarded.
One of these days I'll put a timing light on it, but no ping and plenty of go seems good to me.
