TDI throttle cable
I forget who it was that suggested to check for throttle cable slack on diesels (apologies). I checked mine today during routine servicing to find that almost 30% of the pedal travel was slack
. Tightened it all up and with the foot to the ground now the throttle on the injector pump is fully opened. Disco now drives much nicer!
Thanks for the tip!

Should make this tech tip a sticky at the top of the Technical Chatter page. Made a big difference for me as well. I have had TDI's for 6 years now and have never thought to adjust the cable, visually it did not look like it needed adjustment, but it sure did.
