    lovells springs

    Hi all

    just got qouted $360 a pair for lovell springs are they they worth the extra $100 from the Les Richmond what are lovells shocks like

    I bought a set of 4 - 2" lift Lovell's springs for my 93 Disco about 18 months ago for a total delivered price of $320, I dont think prices would have doubled over that short a time, I would get a quote from someonelse or contact Lovells direct. My Lovells springs were individually marked for their position, i.e. Front right and so on as they are tailored for each corner, mine have not sagged and give a very good ride, Regards Frank.

    $140 per pair which will give you a 40mm lift however if you want custom
    3-4 inch there $360 a pair

    My Lovells were a full 50mm lift over standard, I wouldn't go any higher, if you dont want problems with tailshaft angles and wheel alignment, Regards Frank.

    I think I'll go 2 inch spring its not going to be much different then 3 inch and hell of a lot cheaper

    25mm (close enough, for the picky) = 1", 2" (50mm) lift will also save the expense of castor correction and tailshaft realignment, Regards Frank.

    As per Les Richmond

    The maximum heights LR Automotive set standard vehicles to without causing steering problems or vibrations are as follows.

    VEHICLE.............................FRONT......... ........REAR

    Range Rover.........................3.5"................ 5" - 5.5"
    Discovery I, II & III................3.5"...............4" - 4.5"
    Defender & County................3.5"...............4" - 4.5"

    Now the problem is that he doesnt make a modified bilstein for the disco 2 which only leave me with tough dog or Rancho's which are cheaper then bilstein and probibly for a reason
