    CAV Fuel Filter

    Hi all

Whereabouts can CAV Fuel Filter adapters be bought for Land Rovers?

Supacheap had them in a few stores.

I used my original top, and the new bottom parts.

Boat places, or truck places also have them. It's worthwhile to shop around for filter prices, places that don't turnover a lot of stock can charge a heap more.

    Cheers

The actual aluminium adaptor should still be sold by Denco Diesel ( http://www.dencodiesel.com/products.asp ) who are now down in Wagga Wagga. Cost was about $150 ish two years ago. Others may carry them, but I haven't heard of any lately.

If you feel like a few slightly cheaper options, have a read ( Both pages, there's a 2nd set up on the 2nd page) of this

I've never bothered as I can buy Donaldson (made in Germany) filters for the Bosch head for only a few $$ more than a Delphi/CAV equivalent filter.

As said above, any diesel service usually stock them, as the Bosch heads are used on lots of ag machinery.

like Rick I've never bothered either as the cost hardly justifies it
although I've been tempted a few times as my tractor and old truck both use CAV style so I could carry less filters in "stock"

I've seen the adaptors on evilbay for around $100
