    upgrade

    i want to upgrade the landie abit, it already has muddies, b/bar and radio. what other things help? i was thinking about a front air locker, are there any probs with the in a 02 Discovery series2 TD5? do they help?

    Does yours have the CDL? If not I would get one fitted.

    Edit - CDL = centre diff lock

    Where abouts are you located, and someone will tell you where to go to get one put in, or go to a wrecker and get a 2003 + model transfer case

    Nah..................you can do it for about half of that, using a secondhand/reco transfer box.

    i live in canberra, and my mechanic said that he couldn't find one 2nd hand.

    The 02 Disco's didnt have the mechanism in the transfer case that enabled the locking of the CDL. Other years had it and all it requires is some mechanism/system to activate it...which can cost 300-800 dollars.

    You should be able to get the job done for about 14-1600 dollars. It is well worth it...improves the offroad ability no end. Where abouts are you? I can reccomend a couple of places in Melbourne.
