    Defender Dash Lights

    Guys

    Trying to sort lighting out in the instrument cluster of the Defender, and a number of the globes are not working (YES the globes are ok). I don't seem to have power to them??

    Anywhere partic to start?????

    What defender is it, 200, 300 or TD5

    Defender 200TDi . . . i have power to Fuel and the bottom one of the speedo (there are two on the speedo)

    Well if that's the case, I would suspect that the earths are faulty, because from what I can see all the power supply is off of two common circuits going back to the single passenger compartment fuse, which is fed live from the lighting switch, which is in turn fed from a fuse in the engine bay.

    So it's either dirty connections, broken wires, or bad earths..........

    Earths cause more problems with auto elecs than anuthing else - in my view

    On my 200 Disco the collar of metal contacts around the bulb were slightly corroded and not making good contact with the printed circuit.
