    RRC Side mirrors

    Hey all

I damaged my RHS side mirror on my 93 RRC with grinder sparks
i have had mixed info from parts dealers about changing the glass or replacing the whole mirror (heated and electric) so its a bit hexy! What do you guys think? Can i pull the glass off and just replace it or do i have to change the whole unit over?

Howdy Mick, Yes glass does come off but be careful. I Think you have to push glass across horizontally towards the vehicle while prising GENTLY out at the outer edge. I say be careful as there are some plastic clips under there, which if broken will require the gratuitous use of Sikaflex to attach the mirror again... AFAIK the mirror itself is about $60 to $80 from LR.
    BE gentle......

They're off an 88, should be the same huh?
I'll even through in some saddles for that bit of conduit hanging from the cieling in you garage, unless you've already fixed it

Thats what I/ some of my clients have done Mick, A lot cheaper than LR but not heated. Our local glass supplier cut mirror to suit and cost me about $15.

BWHAHAHAHA thats the deal breaker!! I stole a saddle from another fitting but it still hangs down a little. I will take the side mirrors if you going to throw them out i'll swap them for a 6 pack or something???
