Extended Brake Lines for Disco Series2

    G'day All,

I need to extend my brake lines both F&R to cope with the new springs that I put in recently.

Does anyone know where I can get some locally (in Australia - Melbourne) or where the best source would be overseas?

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers,

Brake klines have to be made by an approved manufacturer - I think.

What about those blokes who make braided lines for motor bikes? They advertise in the bike mags.

Do Pirtek or EnZed do brake lines?

    Hi Franz,
Any brake place will be able to make up a set for you, it just depends if u want to go fancy with braided lines or not.
Personally i dont see the need for braided lines but thats me.
The only problem i may see is they may want a sample of the ends..
Let me know if i can help.

430mm free length that give me a 550mm hub to guard. Just a smidgeon longer than I wanted but given time they will compress and that's when the airbags will come into their own. At the moment the air bags do nothing without a major load on board - say 175kg on top the the standard vehicle with a full tank.

    Stuart,

I had considered this but think I may not have to. The ABS lines have a quick disconnect and when I want to drop my suspension, I can disconnect them to give me more downward travel - not so with the brake lines.

I think that the ABS and brake lines will cope with most of my off road jaunts but to be safe I want to extend the brake lines - no brakes in the back could become unpleasant, whereas I can get by without ABS in a failure situation (I think).

    Thanks for the tip though.
