    How 2, bleed radiator.

Need to know the correct procedure for filling and bleeding the cooling system on my D2 td5.
Ive done a search, but everyone refers to the Rav disc. I will be getting one sometime soon, but need to know the above yesterday.
I noticed the pipe connecting the expansion bottle to the radiator was leaking . One of the hose clamps had failed. I pulled the pipe out of the hose to fit a new clamp and coolant spurted out like I'd slit a vain. Took me quite by surprise, as it wasn't hot and I didn't think it would be holding pressure.
Anyways, would like to know the correct procedure. I also noticed the top radiator hose needs replacing.(Its ballooning at the motor end) If anyone would like to quote places and prices for hoses, Id be most grateful. I'm in the ACT.

if the disco is similar to the Defender you should be able to drain via the bleed screw on the bottom hose.If you can disconnect the bottom hose all the better. Then flush by putting a low pressure hose in the expansion tank for a while.Reconnect hoses and remove top bleed screw, and then pour premixed colant in expansion tank until it runs out of the top screw.Replace screw and tank cap, turn heater on, not ac, and run, check for leaks.

and don't forget that the coolant is an OAT longlife. The genuine stuff is Caltex Longlife, (says carboxylate acid technology on the bottle) mixed 50/50 with pure or demineralised water, available from any Caltex depot. (It's the fluro orange stuff)

    Pressure...

One of the first signs of my head gasket going was excessive pressure.. I won't write more now but let me know if its been losing coolant?
    Cheers,
    Dave
