No - the R380 input shaft on a v8 is longer than the tdi, has to do with the different bellhousing. I'll presume that since the lt77 is designed along the same lines, that it's input shafts have different lengths too. Has anyone tried to have a v8 shaft cut down and re splined professionally?

Well i thought they would be able to be swaped over as the shaft comes out of the front of the box with the bearing housing attached

    Hi Yer Chris

Lt77 petrol inputs are different to Lt 77 diesel inputs got nothing to do with bell housings as you can swap those, the first gear on the input shaft is differant...

I have a disel one if you wont it...

I'd better repharse that as its fith gear in the box...the gear on the end of the input shaft is differant between Pet an Diesal...dont wont someone telling me its not first gear...lol
