Its not an uncommon mod to retain the top & bottom tanks and get a custom --thicker-- core made up. There is a guy here in melb that did one for me years ago. He used to make radiators for vintage cars, but his job worked out cheaper than an off the shelf unit.

Rangies dont have top and bottom tanks, they have left and right

I've got a 4 core, but one I wrecked had an EF-EL radiator AND fans in it, very easy to bracket up and make fit, cant remember pipe orientation but, didn't have a snotty rover motor in it

Just a simple recored jobbie should do the job, and easy to fit the falcon fans anyhow

I'm thinking of going with the ford radiator and fans, as the radiator is only $145 new and can get the fan set up for $85.

my RRC gets a bit warm in summer I wangled a couple of 12"-ish electric fans.
I was thinking of mounting them in front of the existing radiator with a manual switch to flick on/off when it gets too warm.

Have you thought of this or anyone else tried this?

BTW you can pick up used rads for $50 to $100 depending on condition, that's for my 81" dunno about the cost of newer RR

Be keen to see you you go with this. Alloy Rads have always worried me on a 4wd that gets used and abused.
