    Help need some tech advice!

I am replacing my transmission mounts and have come across the type in the picture after I had bought the standard engine mount as stated by most of the 4x4 parts shops and Rangie books. Has anyone seen these type and where can I get them from. If I install the generic engine type I am about 10-15mm too short based on the old dimensions?

They sure don't look original to me...
Is this for the "88 Hiline?. I had an '89 vogue with the other (landie) type mount.

    Yeah,

Every publication i have seen on the Reabge Rover classic shows the 566222 number mount and also a different number for the auto boxes but they are essentially the same. Now I need a different chassis mounting bracket to fit the engine type.

Nothing is ever straight forward with me!

They look nothing like the Jag mounts that I have seen. I'm running V12 Jag mounts on the motor, and when I get around to it, I'll be putting 6 cylinder Jag mounts on the gearbox. The 6 cylinder Jag mounts have the same dimensions as the rover V8 ones, but are a lot stronger!

Go and see Syd King at QLD rollers and liners (suscatand st rocklea from memory). He has a lots of rangie mounts on the shelf (and others) and can make any custom/unusual mount you may be after for a reasonable price.

The mounts were attached to an LT77 and a LT230. I have got some standard mounting brackets from my bits and pieces and will try installing that tonight with the generic engine mount and see if that works.

Very weird indeed. Thanks for the comments.

    I don't recognise that mount.

The jag engine mounts I have used are like the standard rover v8 engine mount, but larger in diameter. I have also them on the left side of the LT230, but the larger mount would not fit the right side.

It would seem that the bracket for the transmission side of things is configured to take the standard mount but the chassis side bracket will need to be drilled. After some measurements I need and extra 25mm of mount to take up the original space left over by the old mount. I have seen the jag mount which looks to be close to that width and may try that.
