    D2 Pcd

    Hi Guys
    Need confirmation.
    D2 is 120mm pcd and 14mm thread????
Trailer parts suplier said I was wrong then said I may be right.I was sure Im correct but when somebody in the bussiness says no you got to ask.
In the end he said 120 PCD and 9/16 thread!!!!,I said NO 14mm thread!!!!
Discovery Autos tell me late Tojo Cruiser alloy wheelnuts suit the Disco 2 rims and thread and are heaps cheaper!!!!,any confirmations???? And are they 14mm(Jap so should be metric) or 9/16????

    Hi Andy,

DII is definitely 120mm PCD... I think you are right about 14mm as well but not 100%.

    Cheers, Mark

Definitely metric on Classic Rangie and I am pretty sure on D2.
The 9/16 thread is what ALKO put on trailer hubs, as I found out the hard way.
They will not supply metric. A rang them and asked and they said that they don't claim to match the car.
BEWARE , if you plan to put in Disco studs, the holes that ALKO drill in the hubs will be too big for the studs. NOT only are they the wrong studs, but the spline is bigger too!!!
You are far better to buy blank hubs, buy Land Rover studs and have an engineering shop drill for the studs.
As far as nuts go dunno , but almost certain Landcruiser is metric also.

Doncha love a company that is responsive to customer requirements?

Any engineering company or anyone with an indexing table could drill it for you. The biggest cost will be in setup. It would be better to get more than two hubs done in order to amortise the setup costs over several units.

Now there's an opening for someone - buy the hubs and drill and fit LR studs ready for sale to you blokes.

Funny, that is what I said to the NSW Manager and he was completely unmoved.
his answer was that ALKO was in the Caravan industry not the car industry.
I wrote them a couple of terse emails and I think he called back at least.
But I think they are a very strange company.
Shows what happens when you have a monopoly.

Yes 120 PCD and 14mm studs, in fact Holden Commodore is the same PCD.

As ron said any engineer should be able to drill the holes to suit 14mm, and if you have the D2 14mm studs, he should be able to press them in for you.

After all 14mm is only poofteenth bigger than 9/16th.

Its easy to pull them in yourself with just a steel wheel nut and a couple of washers with ID bigger than the spline, and a rattle gun. That is what I did.
