Ok well I think I have the sticking linkage fixed.... :unsure::whistling:
Did a pit of belting , crc-ing, more belting and spread some grease around and Im now the happy owner of a working CDL knob again.....:p

To keep mine free & ready for instant action, :D I shift it weekly, even around the yard & parking in the shed. It worked fine from new & I intend to keep it that way.;)
Just for others who might not be aware too, keep in mind if you don't rotate your tyres regularly and end up with different tread depths it can make getting the centre diff to unlock a mongrel as the front and rear axles try to turn at different speeds and load the lock up even though you are going straight on a "loose" surface
