Disco Hand Brake cable?

Ok enough BS.....looks like I cant get to the spring at the end of the handle without pulling the HB off the floor, then drilling out the pin that holds the small cam thing to the relese rod.

So I guess next thing is to is play with the rod and try and straighen it because I bent it up a Little when I first tryed to fit cable, all those weeks ago......... http://www.lrocv.com.au/forum/images...s/icon_cry.gif https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Just need to bend it a certain way and see if its better or worse.

Or find another whole HB and fit that.....But I will try the bending and swearing a bit more yet https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

It was the release buton ! :eek:

What had happend is , when I was stuffing around trying to fit the cable on, I must have bent the rod that the button is on. So when the handle was in the off possie the button was jambed hard against the inside wall of the handle, so basicly jambed the rod and rachet cam tight so the spring couldent do its job. Thats the bit that got me becasue when the handle was upright the rod was central, but down it was jambed hard.......

I took button off, cleaned it up with wet & dry paper because there where marks and cuts etc, and bent the rod straight again.....oh and a bit of Lube.

Fixed, all I had to do was ajust the cable a bit as it was a little loose, ie 5 clicks to be on, back to 3-4 clicks to be on........:D.....thank god for that !:angel:
