    replacing stereo speakers in base model 99 Td5 Disco

    Hi - this is a bit more of a hassle than in S1 Discos! I've undone all the screws holding the door panels together, but it looks like you then have to prise the panel open, which I started doing, but became a bit alarmed at how much pressure was required with little result. Any tips? Do these panels actually come away without breaking once you've removed the screws?

    They do need quite a bit of pressure, I used a large plastic fork my wifes uses in the kitchen for stuff

    I pulled back on the panel as much as I could so I could see where the clips were then slid in this two pronged fork (one prong either side of the clip) and gently levered the panel off - repeating for each clip.

    I did post a pic of 'the fork' but I think it;s long gone

    gotta love special service tools..
    prising with wife's kitchen utensils to chopping up tupperware to seal coils in....
