    Thomas PTO winch

    Does anybody know the input ratio of a thomas pto winch on a series 111 stage1 or the contact details for Thomas winchs?

    Do you mean the worm drive on the drum?. The pto take off from the gearbox is 1:1 from the mainshaft & you use the gears to get the reductions.
    I might have an old brochure somewhere. They were in QLD

    I googled thomas winches but it kicks you to a 4wd shop.I don't know if they now own it.I have to pass on the info to a hydraulic fitter this weekend so he can sort out the flow rate to convert the pto to electric pump hydraulic -winch set up

    Pete,
    This electric over hydraulic idea sounds interesting, I have a Thomas PTO winch for the rangie, but have a problem with the driveshafts clearing the exhaust system etc. Can you elaborate on your ideas?
