    Double Cardon Front Shaft

I have just removed the front DC shaft and have inspected it and found a shagged uni.
I'm pretty sure i've caught it in time and after inspecting it, looks as if i only need the one uni, has anyone rebuilt one, or knows where i can get the bearings to rebuld it.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

Thanks Ray i have had him in mind if it doesn't pan out up here, i know he's very reasonable with his pricing.

    forgive the dum question Baz,,
but its a simple (single? or all?)UNI replacement?

is there anything special about the uni's themselves?

I am changing my uni's as part of the 130,000k's service. It is also a bit of protection for our Central Australia trip as we will be coming back via the Oodnadatta Track. We are towing a camper trailer at about 1200kg.

We will be using our friends at Roverland as the quote is about half of Slunnie's price. For an extra $80 the rear shaft will be changed.

After reading the Rave CD to see if could be done, I bailed

I'm willing to have a bash but if it all went pear shaped...

We get ours repaired and balanced by REPCO. A lot cheaper than $800, from memory.

Gibson Driveshafts at Edgeworth, they did all 3 unis, i think it was about 180 bucks, the DC joint and centre spline was ok, that was the 2nd time i had it rebuilt.... but being a TD5 i think yours is different to my v8?
