I think the Expedition Exchange ones were $145USD, there was another site in the USA selling for $125 USD. The current exchange rate makes the ones from the manufacturer $117AUD, if we can get a group discount that makes it worth waiting for a reply from the MUD people.

Hot off the server, here's the reply I got :

For the AULRO offer we did the following deals. We could extend this same offer to yourselves.

    1 x console.
Price is £65.00GBP shipped from the UK direct to your door.
This includes the matt black plastic badge.
For the console with the black and silver or green and gold gloss enamel badges, the price is £67.50GBP.

    MudPod offer
Price is £43.00GBP shipped from the UK direct to your door.

For the deal we did with the AULRO guys, it was cheaper and simpler to ship to the customers direct.

    Paypal payment is fine.

I'll have to get back to you on the weights and dimensions but to ship one console to Australia we normally charge £26.00. A MudPod normally ships at £11.00

I think that we can individually order, mention the aulro offer and pay individually.

I was also looking at importing say 10 or so and what didn't get bought by aulro members at cost, putting on ebay. But before I decide whether that's a go, I need to wait for some info on weights, dimensions & freight costs.

    Anyway, 67.50GBP is $160AUD. The freight's a killer.

To Order they need to know whether you have a TDi or TD5 (as the fittings are different).

    And which badge you want.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE

I'm still awaiting some freight quotes, but it looks like I can import a batch of 9 consoles bubble wrapped, but not in their original packaging - to save volume.

I can repackage these once they land in Aus and post them out.

If you choose to buy in this fashion, it can be delivered to your door for between $120-$140ea*.

However, just to simplify matters, I will only bring in the basic console with the black badge and no pods at this stage.

Hopefully they'll all get picked up by members, any excess I'll have to off load on ebay.

What does this mean for you?

Waiting a little bit longer for the package to arrive.
Not getting a choice of badges.
    Not getting the original box.
    Saving $20-$40 per console.

    Whose interested?

*Final price will be determined once I get another freight quote, verify whether they fit in a 3kg Auspost Parcel - otherwise they cube to the equivalent of a 4kg parcel . There is a small profit margin for me for paying up front, repackaging , and posting.

A possible complication would be if they attract Customs Duty, but my understanding is that if they're a door to door delivery, valued at under $1,000AUD then they are exempt. Also they're for private import - (club members) and the only resale will be of surplus stock.

When i got mine the original box was not flash, just an ordinary brown cardboard box. and you can just buy the badge from your local dealer.

    OOOPS

    Disregard my previous post!!!

I got some freight & item figures confused when reading MUDs last email. It was a bit unclear - but not that much that I should have made such a blunder .

I've learned my lesson, read twice - write once.

I can't import any - so it's up to each person to get their own again.

    Sorry Sorry Sorry
