Oh and the actual question I wanted to ask Does it serve as a hand throttle as well like the cruise controls in most trucks or is it a proper cruise control?

If production on these cruise control kits has not yet started I'd like to put my name down too.
Just a thought - any chance of getting an extra wire or two in the loom to cater for installation of a tacho as discussed in various other threads here. Seems to make sense to run all the cables at once even if the meter itself isn't going in immediately. ;)
