I realise that and know it's possible. It's just due to the sheer size of the gearbox it would be an absolute pr1ck to setup up I'll have to look and measure to confirm but think (from memory) a pto drive shaft would hang well below the chassis rails on this vehicle

I think the best way is to have it running as electric only at this present time. After a few trips and when the gearbox is blown to bits and a decent box is fitted then a PTO option may be investigated.
So whose taking bets on how long the box will last?
That depends on if the gearbox or the chassis takes the hits.![]()

That -thing- looks disturbingly like ours dobbo...I'm starting to be very afraid.
I laugh at the humorous thought that people expect their alternator to run a winch...Need more batteries...I just need to find out where to put em.
And there is no harm to having the winch at the back...put the batteries up there with it. And you dont need amped up cables to the alternator for the above reasoning.
This isn't really helping is it dobbo...
