    rear detroit locker price??

Has anyone fitted a detroit in the back on a D1?
I am interested in the price difference between a detroit and a maxi drive set up.
Of course i'll have to buy maxi axles or similar if i put a detroit in anyway. so not sure if it really is a cheaper option.
I've emailed a couple of places for quotes but no answers yet so thought one of you guys might know. i'l probably still go maxi drive in the front

I spoke to these guys, and the supplied price for a Defender was around $1000 from memory. Is a D1 the Rover axle at the rear though?

Still unsure what I'm going to put in mine though....

$1870 for maxi drive lockers and comes supplied with axles.
or it would seem about $1000 for a detroit plus another 890 for axle upgrade....not alot in it really. for some reason i thought detroits were alot less money than that?
i guess not canging the axles would keep the price down a bit, but standard are going to break under stress with lockers fitted at some point and i guess i'd rather not have that worry when i'm out bush.

Supply-only, their price is fine when you think it includes $650 worth of axles, BUT the quotes I got for fitting them over the ARB or the Detroit made them significantly dearer.
