    Viscous Fan Pulley

Could someone please tell me what size open ended spanner fits the fan pulley on a 300Tdi..?

Also, how do you stop the pulley turning as your are trying to remove the fan assembly.

And yes I know it is a l/h thread

I had better have another beer while waiting for the replies...

Gday. 32 mm is the culprit. Ford same same. SuperCheap is a good source. Try to hang onto the belt to start with - just apply hand pressure to clamp the pulley. If it's really tight, hold one of the 10mm hex bolts with a spanner as a "lever" against the next 10mm bolt around the hub. Strike the hub nut spanner with a soft mallet in the coreect direction. You need three hands, but you're working on a Land Rover - you already know that!

    What's this beer drinking stuff?
