Looks like the accelerator pump. The rubber may be perished and need replacing sometimes taking apart and cleaning will do the trick. but perhaps a full carby kit wouldn't go astray.

Leaking diaphragm on the accelerator pump. Needs replacing. As JohnE says, a full carbie kit woould not go astray. If you don't feel up to overhauling it yourself, there are still a few carburetter specialists about who would be happy to do so, and you can also get overhauled ones on an exchange basis.

Ok so i pulled it to bits. I had a kit put through it not long ago and this is the first time i have used it since.

I had two carbies made into one as the first one the thread fell apart on the top plate.

So i had a look at the old one and they are totally different

What to do it still leaks

That diaphragm on the right is not out of a Landrover carburetter - I don't recognise it at all.

Look a lot like the vacuum fuel tap diaphragm out of my old Yamaha XS650.

Whatever it IS out of, I'd get a genuine Land Rover one and see if that seals up any better.

Definatley an oops moment, there looks like a couple of either vacuum holes or bleed holes on the original, no wonder the one on the right is leaking.

As Jd and scrambler said go original, and match up the holes, they are there for a reason, that should sort it out.

    good luck
