    Hi Brian,

If it is a different publication, I can copy the bound book and scan to a pdf at work. This would give you an A4 horizontal pdf of each spread. I have the full version of acrobat so this could be cropped to A5 if that helps.

    PM if you would like.

Whatever can be done. I hoped it could be made available for anyone to download or copy somehow. I wish to keep the original copy.

We're just thinking about the technicalities, Brian. Sounds like Designosaur or myself could do the scanning and get it into a PDF. What happens from there would be your call, after you got your book back, of course.

I'm closer, by the looks, so beating me up if I lose the book would be easier

In all seriousness, if you want you could drop in some time and watch the process. I'd guess it would take 30 minutes for the scanning (assuming the book can be taken apart and then restapled), a little more to get the pages properly ordered. Then you could walk away with the book and a CD with the images.

What I hoped to achieve, and not being a computer person, have no idea if this is possible, was for some knowledgeable person to scan it and post it on-line somewhere so anyone who wished could download it. Can this be done?

Yes, Brian, it can be done. I think the logical place to post it would be on AULRO, somewhere. The scanning is straightforward, depending on the software it would either be PDF or a graphics file. I've PM'ed my contact details if you want me to do it.

    It's uploaded!

I don't have a PDF writer so this is in a TIFF multi-page format. Which the site won't allow me to upload, so it's in a zip folder.

If anyone wants to convert to to PDF and reload it, I'd be more than OK with that. But probably no need - windows picture and fax viewer does fine with the TIFF.

What Brian didn't say is that his copy has been annotated by the sales staff - models unavailable in Australia have been crossed out, the ute backs are added etc.

    Enjoy!

Ok. In simple layman's language, tell this computer illiterate how to turn the pages. I can download and open the file, and get the front cover. How do I view the rest?

What is it opening in, Brian?

Windows Picture and Fax viewer has little arrows that come up in the middle of the task bar under the photo.

A standard image viewer or editor will only show the first page. I haven't tried internet explorer. I'll play on the work computer and let you know what I find out.
