    300Tdi Thermostat Housing Elbow, Help needed

    Guys
    Need to know the following
    Who has a 300Tdi engine (disco or Defender) that on the Thermostat housing Elbow, That is the one that the hose connects to and the other end is to the Thermostat.
    Who has one of these elbows with switches in it?? They look like thermostats that are used for your temp gauge, but 2 wires....

    Anyone???

    I'm after one and its parramount that i get one NOW.... no serious.. looking at getting one to make a Thermofan conversion for the Fender....

    Thermostats at outlet housing 300tdi

    Have 95 disco with 2 on outlet. one starts elec fans when coolant temp hits 100 deg C the other cuts compressor clutch when temp over 100.

    the temp sensor is at the front of the head on the drivers side.

    Ok so that explains what i need

    I'll search the Wreckers for an elbow as i'm after one to setup my Thermo fan in place of the Normal fan.

    Just a followup on this one...

    Did you ever do this ? How different was the Disco elbow from the Defender one ? Without taking it off, it looks like my elbow has the switch/sender spots already cast and I may only need to drill the blanking out.

    I want to mount a second water temp sender in parallel with the factory one. I've toyed with the idea of tapping the brass filler plug on to of the housing but I don't believe I will have much clearance to the bonnet.

    Yeah, got a Disco one.... it has the 2 senders in it...
