yep phillipe chuck them, i find leads don't last very long, something mr land rover designed into the good thing - and follow the factory lead plan, 'cause they reckon they cross fire if not routed correctly.

well dunno, but the disco manual goes to great length to show where the leads run.
it's totally hypothetical after the little plastic lead jiggers are all kangaroo edward.
and i am not game to look under the bonnet after dark.

    G'day Folks

Yes, a cross fire in the Rover V8 can be very expensive, I can not remember exactly but if one of the leads cross fires with No 7 when it is at 180deg it can snap the crankshaft now is an expensive bang
a rover trained Mech should be able to enlighten on that.

    cheers

What after market spark plug leads are long lasting and give good performance but do not cost excessively?

So far I've found the following brands:

    Gasmaster
Magnecor - Thundercords - Australian Distributors for Magnecor
Topgun - **Official Website of Top Gun - Ignition Leads**
    Eagle
    Jacobs

Does the Bosch EFI system on a 4.0 V8 Discovery Series II (post 1999) need special leads compared to the GEMS 3.9 V8 in the Disco I?
