    Hope so!!

what is the difference between the "original" style cover and the Fix Kit cover?

Also If I pull it apart is there anything I can check to make sure a kit hasn't already been fitted? Say the cam gear is different is some way?

I just did mine... any part that you can replace... Replace.... insurance.....

The pump bracket is hard to describ the mod, but here is go...

The old style rear pump bracket was just a plate with holes drilled in it.. the new one is a plate with oversized holes and push in sleaves that your bolts go thru.... like an alternator bracket....

    Makes sence???

    PAT303,
that's a pretty good price for the kit and the labour. Was that just the minor one?
I'm trying to organise one at the moment, where'd you get that from?

Schuey Rumbles is at Dungog,I have been taking my 'fender there since new and they do a top job. They are old style, they only charge for work done and they get to know your truck and keep an eye on thing's.When I bought my vehicle they were the one's who recommended putting the upgrade gears on it and as off yet I haven't had to change anything other than the belt and tensioner which is what was changed this time.In the phone book you can find them under Modern Motors. Last time I had mt belt replaced I got the mechanic to make a small hole in the front cover just to the right of the air con compressor. Now I can see the belt and keep an eye on it.

    Hi Mate.

I got the Small Timing Kit that Scouse is speaking off from BMI at Mulgrave for round about $280.00 Bucks this was the cheapest I Found , has a Dayco Timing Belt in the Kit,

Cam timing was also out slightly, it has made a Hell of a different with New Belt kit fitted, Old Belt done at 100000, vehicle has 179000 on odometer .Ring
Bristish Motor Importers , they are excellent depending on where you are ofcourse.

But I doubt the timing belt has ever been done. It doesn't have a yellow mark on the timing cover to say a kit has been fitted so i need to work out which kit it requires, problem is I don't have a VIN number. Is there any other way to find out which Kit needs to be fitted?

Also what is a Kit worth?
