    D110 - EGR removal and new Silicon hoses

    G'day Guys,

    I wanted to removed the stupid EGR and found there are a couple of suppliers for this mod - I got mine from DWE

    Here we go with the standard EGR:



    DWE EGR removal kit:



    EGR off the car:



    now replaced :



    All reinstalled with a set of Dullbirds D110 TD5 Silicon hoses:

    just to add, I also plugged up the vacuum hoses - blue ones going to the EGR in the first pix.

    the EGR is there to help improve the pollutions levels - takes some of the burnt exhaust gases and pumps them back into the engine.

    one of the main problems is this heats up the air - giving higher internal temps and EGTs and the other is after a while the butterfly valves get all coked up and the tick over goes all lumpy.

    the silicon hoses are about $190 from either Dullbird or Tombraider and I'm not sure what the EGR removal kit cost me as I bought other items from DWE at the same time!!!
