MTs
I [was] about to buy a set of BFG MTs for occasional/recreational use, but after some investigating I'm not sure now...
I've currently got BFG ATs on, and I've noticed that the blocks on the side/outside of the tread wear to buggery, especially if you corner at anything over 3 km/h
. They get to the point where the side blocks are almost non existent, and you are left with a tyre that is only useful as a highway terrain.
So if you were to put on a set of BFG MTs, essentially wouldn't the side blocks wear down in much the same fashion and likewise you'd be left with a fairly useless tyre?
I'm thinking taking a chance with cooper STTs might be wiser, because if the MTs are anything like there ATs, the BFGs seem a little too soft.

I run Maxxis Buckshots, and find them fantastic even on the highway. They dont wear out the side blocks.

I've never had that problem. You may find its a pressure and/or toe problem.
Cheers

What tyre pressures are you running?
And is your diff slightly bent or wheels out of alignment...
Sure sounds like it...

Yep, get a wheel alighment. And slow down in corners.
MT's will wear faster. They also need to be rotated often. Every oil change is a good idear.
