Of the lights, it is quicker - at least I think it is. It does leave a lot of cars behind.
It's smoother but has an annoying light vibration at idle. Fuel consumption appears to be higher.
I haven't yet decided whether to chip it or not.

I've not frequented this forum often until recently.
I noticed you experienced a slipped cylinder. Do you know what caused that to happen? Was it an overheating situation?
On Christmas Eve 2007 my engine (1999 DII 4.0 V8) with 190,000 kms on the odometer, experienced a slipped liner, but I feel cheated because it wasn't even hot. In fact it was a rather cold evening and the I was just parking my vehicle after a slow drive. However it has been experiencing strange gurgling noises in the heater core, so presumably there was a huge air bubble trapped somewhere in the cooling system that ultimately led to my engine's demise.
I now have a 4.6 V8 with stepped liners and pretty much similar sort of components fitted, like yours.
My V8 is fitted with sequential LPG injection, and the 9.35:1 compression pistons. Would love to compare notes.

I now believe that mine had been over heated and had the slipped liner from when I bought it nearly 6 years ago. The symptoms fit the bill. It also had a very blocked radiator when I bought the car.

At the time, I think the slipped liner problem wasn't as well known as it is now. I'd never heard of it and the local mechanics were unaware as well. It's a pity I initially spent a lot of money on the engine replacing head gaskets etc., when they weren't the problem. We looked at the gaskets and couldn't see anything wrong. I can't recall if the supposed steam cleaning of the head/piston crown had occurred. I do remember that the LPG tank was bone dry and the system had not long before been converted to venturi gas by the previous owner. I think he may have given up on LPG owing to backfiring - which I experienced from day one of ownership.
I';d be interested to hear how many litres/100km LPG you are getting highway and city. Mine's ranging between 18 hwy and 27 city at the moment.

The Land Rover independent workshop has asked me to run in my engine on 95 or 98 octane petrol for the initial 1500 kms to allow the new pistons to wear in properly to the liners. And also not to rev it past 3000 rpm and keep a variable load on the engine so that it does not develop any harmonics issue.
So I can't tell you how much LPG it consumes, because I've not run it on LPG at all. On petrol, I've not even gone through my first tankful yet, as I've only picked up my Disco on Thursday last week.
Using the Scangauge OBDII reader (although I've not calibrated it properly yet), it's suggesting that I'm using around 17 litres on the highway and about 20 in the suburb streets, but since this scanner is not yet calibrated, it may not be accurate. Judging by the way the fuel gauge is falling for the number of kms on the trip meter, the 4.6 is probably just as thirsty as the 4.0. Sigh!
I have to get used to the cost of fuelling my Landie on petrol again and it just frustrates me that I can't go straight to LPG again. ;)
