    Portable compressor.

Last week our neighbor had a hard garbage collection and on the pile was one of those 2 stroke powered scooters, the scooter is fubarred but the engine looks pretty good. Now i am thinking of uses for it i thought about a portable petrol powered compressor using a york a/c comp i have off a rangie but not sure if it will have enough grunt to spin it enough to make it viable. Gear reduction will help but will it be enough, anything i could use the motor for ?

it will power a small comprtessor and if you keep the variable belt drive will do it well..

IT will also power a small genny and/or a big alternator for charginb batteries.

The problem with using it for a compressor will be a tank to keep it on.

I had though about a gen but would need to source some kind of regulator for it and a good alternator, an old truck air tank would be good for a tank or i could just wled up a tank and incorperate it into the trailer i'm rebuilding. A petrol powered arc welder would be handy too .
