    revserse switch

    Hi All,

I have a 96 disco and the reverse lights only work if I pull on the gear lever to the right. I removed the switch to see how much I have to press it before it makes contact. Just past half way, I have noticed that on other disco there is an adjustable one, but my disco has one that just screws in with a copper washer the R380 box.

Has anyone else had the same problem were the you have to push to the right just a fraction while in reverse to make contact on the switch? The only other thing I can think of is that the metal contact in the gearbox that presses it is worn.

    Cheers

    Ben

take the washer out... its there as a spacer. if the switch is worn that'll get you a few more ks out of it.

Got the same problem on my 96 Disco R380.
I have to pull back on my lever too.

I had a look under the Disco, but where abouts is this switch hidden???
