Are there any torque and power figures for this mod? If not, are there any educated estimates.
For you guys who have put the blanking kit in a 2003MY td5: there is something on Tombie's website about the facelift model having some sort of cooling system relating to the EGR.
Does this produce any complications for the removal? I haven't had a good look at the job yet, but it's on my to-do list, and I don't want to get halfway through and then realize I'm ill-prepared!

I just made a replacement "snout" for the intake of my TD5.
It was pretty simple if you have a welder and a Drill press.
Now keep in mind I'm here in the states and what I get for materials isn't metric (it's not my fault they haven't changed)
Anyway I used a piece of 2.5" Aluminized exhaust pipe for the hose to connect to. For the base I used some 3/16 steel plate I cut to match the outside of the factory piece. To make the big hole in the middle a 2.5" hole saw was the ticket. Prior to inserting/welding the exhaust pipe into the steel base I used the original part to transfer the mounting hole positions. Do them one at a time inserting a tight fitting pin or bolt in to the drilled holes to make sure they line up just right.
I also moved the wastegate control to the intake by screwing a small barb into my new "snout"
I will have to say the difference in the car's performance is quite dramatic.!
