Why are you putting the battery in the boot ? Disco 2 I presume.

I ran some thick cables to the back to run the fridge - It just runs along the chassis rails in some of that 19mm poly pipe you get for drip irrigation systems. There shud be some pre-punched holes going up into the rear loadspace area with rubber caps over them - i just cut a slit through one of those and pushed the cable up through it. Silastic it up if you intend doing any wading.

want to put a 2nd battery in and dont want to put it near the turbo under the bonnet.

Look at the High Current Extenion kit from http://www.traxide.com.au/DBS.html

The details on the kit don't come up yet - Tim is aware of the problem and is fixing it.

Thanks Ron, Ive been speaking to tim and have ordered that kit. I just dont know how to get the wires into the boot.

On the P38A, I ran the cable along the chassis rails and came up through a blanking plug that was in the rear quarter panel. Quite easy, really.

As an aside, I just noticed that Traxide's price on 50A Anderson plugs is less than half what Jaycar charge!

Ditto the dust covers to suit!

I'll be contacting Tim poste haste.

Late edit: Incisor also sell the plugs at half the Jaycar price.

A plastic or rubber plug that fills circular holes on panels. Often a seen in floors, firewalls, etc. They are in the rear quarter of the RR and the trailer wiring passes through them.
