    tail lights

    hi all, tail lights decided to stop working today. but i still have indicators and reverse lights...any suggestions where i can isolate this problem???could it be that little thingamejig on the brake booster that has wires attached to it? thanks.

    Unlikely, that sounds like the low fluid sensor wiring (on the filler) - but it would help what you are driving.

    Check fuses then check the stop light switch under the dash - it's operated by the pedal. (I assume that's where it is on your car whatever that is).

    It's the tail lights, not the brake lights or did I get this wrong???
    I had a similar problem and it turned out the wiring harness that runs in one of the chassis rails was badly corroded. New wiring loom fitted, problem gone. Awkward job, though. But check for the more obvious first (bulbs, fuses, etc.).

    If a fuse is blown then there may be a greater problem.
    I would check the trailer plug also if fitted.
