What a PITA.
I've got it to fit, but it is definitely a temp measure.
Once removed, the shaft was only a 1/4 engaged without the lift. I had to find about 27mm to get it to fit.
So, I need a new steering shaft, which is the best to go for??

All steering shafts should be the same shouldn't they. Has this car been smashed? Can your steering box be moved a little? Body moved forward? Column moved? Just doesn't sound right, particularly that its an LRA kit.

Didn't try to move the steering box as they don't have slotted holes, even if it did move a fraction it wouldn't have been enough.
