Thread: Disco Auto Box

Ok i need a new auto box for my disco 300 Tdi. So if any one knows of one going for sale in Brisbane area. Please give me a shout

My one blow up from long time wear and water damage

Here is a pic of the ATF as it came out of the box(even though i replaced the oil week before last, but when you change the oil on 4 ltrs comes out of the 9 ltrs in there). The transfer box was just as bad and i may need to replace the transfer box too due to the amout of water in both boxes and the amout of damaged caused by it . (pics by phone so sorry about the quality)

And the best yet was the kick down cable was glued and ramded in place by some bloody cowboy . So that did not help matters

The chap doing it got his mate round to show him how bad the box was and had to let his mate know that it was still driving even though the whole thing had been f***ed for a while
After the state of the box and transfer box oil need to get the car back to my house and strip both the axels and front hubs down due to if the gearboxes had this crap in then good knows what shi* is in the axels
