    TDI Fuel Consumption

I have a 130 TDI, interested in what others are getting in the way of fuel consumption.

    Thanks

Disco's a little more aero than a 'fender

130 CC with the pump tweaked right up, bull and side bars and steps, 255/85 MT tyres, roof bars, canvas hood, ladders and a fair bit in the back I average around 11.5-11.8l/100km doing country miles.

On a trip to brisvegas at easter 10.8l/100km sitting on 110km/h with hood and no bars or load.

wow, when I stayed at little sisters place in sin city a few years back I got the best fuel economy I've ever got running around the suburbs, and it's pretty much been my experience every time I've visited the big smoke for a week.
Always put it down to the $hi#y aerodynamics of the old girl.

My Defender 300Tdi sits around 10.5l/km. Not tweaked.

Mind you the odometer reads over by about 5-6% but I am in denial about that.

My 300Tdi 110 get's around 9 to 10L/100km. Did about 1950km to 180L a few months back. Filling both fuel tanks does empty the wallet though

....actually you have a good point ...if we're going to compare fuel consumptions the method of measurement needs to be the same and the "instruments" ( ie odometers) need to be accurate.......
...... A good way to check a speedo is to run a GPS in the car and check speed reading from the GPS ( which is accurate) against your speedo. ......
and do we all use the same method to measure actual fuel consumed ? I wonder.
