    New Noise

Today I noticed a noise comming from the back of my disco when stoped and switched off. It sounded like the fuel pump was still going but i have never herd this b4. Is this normal or is somthing starting to go wrong.

    the car is a series2 disco 99 V8.

    cheers.

no air bags. I took the compressor and bags out and fitted coils.

The noise sounds like its comming from the fuel pump. It stops after about 1 minute.

Release the fuel cap and you will hear and feel the pressure build up and the noise which sounds like a warning buzzer should stop, Regards Frank.

Thanks guys I will pull the fuel relay then the fuel lid to see if it stops. Problem is that I only get to drive it on weekends cause the wife is driving it so its hard to see how often this happens. Thinking about it now it seems to happen when there is not alot of fuel in the tank.

    thanks.
    Will.
