    DassaW,

Actual socket size is 1 3/8 BSF, best of luck finding one.

A 2 1/16 AF socket will fit or buy a box spanner from Four Wheel Drives in Blackburn for about $7 plus GST.
Metric measurement was about 52.12 from memory (checked the series 1 just the other night).

Go the box spanner, it travels everywhere I go

Depending on who did the nuts up last you may need to give it a bit of a knock with a chisel to get the outer nut moving

only when it comes off the nut and decides it wants to go and be freinds with the rollers in the bearing and being absent from the nut allows the nut to rotate off 2 turns..

Whats really really scary is when as part of an inspection for a service you find a little rim rock so you pull down the front right hub of a 110 and find that the outer nut has the chisel marks in both direction, on both sides, on multiple facets of the nut, Then when you finally manage to get the lock washer off you find that the inner nut has chisel marks in both directions and the damage on the inner nut had pressed into the lock washer. Then when you finally manage to get that inner nut out you find that on the other side of that nut is...... more chisel marks.
