    Tie rod ends

Hey fella's the boots on all my tie rod ends under my fender are shagged. i have read the manual and it says they are greased for life unless the boots break then its a replacement job, is this fair dinkum?? Does anyone know where i can buy tie rod ends with grease nipples?? and possible spare boots? and also an a frame joint too cos the boot on that is cactus too so i reckon thats why i get allot of clunking. I'm sure i have seen a greasable one of these somewhere but can't for the life of me remember where.
    thanx in advance

the ones fitted are grease for life and replaced when the boot is knackered (which usually happens well before the joint is shagged.

there are greaseable joints that are adjustable available to fit the heavy duty rods but they are a light truck part not a rover part. As such they dont fit in with my policy of dontupgrade the drag link or tie rod as that puts other parts at risk...

the parts Im talking about (if you want to do it) should be available from truck repair shops and I think Repco can order them in, take a sample one along with you.

    TREX,

I know replacement boots are available from Four Wheel Drives, Blackburn VIC. I got some for the fender some months ago, from memory $3 for the boot and $1 each for the top & bottom garter springs.
I think they also list a greasable track rod end.
    Maybe give them a call on (03) 9890 0509

The greasable, adjustable A frame ball joints are ( were ) made by Maxi. Get in quick !
I fitted a new one the other day.

Most specialists have greasable tie rod ends.
I got some for my RRC from Graeme Cooper a few years ago.
A few phone calls would find out

Could be both, if the bonnet has been removed .
