Led blinkers and relays
Does anybody know if you have to use different relays when using LED blinkers the blinkers light up but don't flash. The blinkers are on a 600 yamaha and I am going to put some on my stage1 if I can sort these out.
Thanks Pete

I'm told you need to use a timed blinker relay rather than a resistance one as the led's have a lower resistance than a normal globe. Hope that helps

If you have just normal LEDs without resistors, it will not work as the flasher unit needs resistance to work.
This site sells special flasher units for LEDs.

I put LED replacement globes on my SIII and found that when the indicator wire to the bullbar (which had normal globes) broke, the LEDs didn't flash. You can either get the timed relay, or you could put a regular globe in line for (R) and (L) so the regular globe acts as the trigger for the flasher can.
