    Front prop shaft seal moves

    Hi guru's
The plastic retaining cup that holds the sliding seal on the front prop shaft keeps coming off it's seat allowing the seal to be pushed up towards the yolk where it stays until I put it all back in place.
    Has anyone overcome this problem?

Look to the rear gentlemen - since both your vehicles are 95 model year, the rear propshaft gaiter seal should be all rubber. Find another and replace the plastic version. According to EPC, it shouldbe TVE10000. The plastic version should have been STC2955. Of course I could be wrong and the numbers could be reversed. I've changed mine over, and it seals fine, and lets the prop do full travel with a 2inch lift.

I've never done it so I'll ask the dumb question.
Does the yolk/male spline just pull out of the female shaft?
Shold I mark it so it goes back in the same position?

YES, you should mark it, the yokes should line up, Regards Frank.

Actually, on the front of a Disco / Defender, they shouldn't line up. But yes, you should mark it to get the phasing correct.
