Thanks Dunnie. Spoke to the previous owner, he is pretty sure it has had work. He used Brit-Parts (Purcells?) and reckons they did some work on it. He did not mind their work but they are very much in the catagory where you take it to them for an oil change and they'll find 5 things that need replacing. I'm scared to go into a LR repairer I don't know and say my car is overheating a bit under load. You're asking for a reeming. (I went to Guest & Puddey and am between mechanics since Greg Puddey passed away, I'll be getting onto Richard-Kie4's books shortly)

I was hoping to find someone honest to flush it and we'd see how that goes and if they find it is really crook then fair enough.

When they did my timing belt, they pointed out other things that needed looking at, but didn't do the work, just went over the car with me when I collected it. Found them to be good, but now I just use Rich for maintenance.
