The water sensor only causes the warning lamp to turn on. But if you want to do away with the sensor, just replace it with a bolt as is std on the last of the D2s.
Whilst waiting for the NRMA, did you happen to remove the fuel cap? Also, perhaps the filter needs renewing.


the bloody thing now goes over the mountain no problem. This NRMA guy was great the only thing we could think of was fuel filter problem or one of the other sensors was playing up. Has any one got any ideas ? also I'm thinking of bagging the sediment sensor and replacing the fuel filter with a Fleetguard fuel filter without a tap as this seems to be my second problem with the fuel filter set-up.
