    Headlight Question

Morning all, I was wondering if it is possible to fit the headlight and indicator cluster from a S2 Discovery into a 97? I know it has no purpose other than looks, but those clusters from the later models look fantastic.

    Cheers

They do look good but what are those 03+ lights worth?
The bumper in the above pic looks like a poor fit. I assume it is the D2 bumper?

That's all good and well until you break a headlight!
Then you have to buy another D2

I'll tell you what. When you buy your next $40k per of headlights I'll give you $10 for the rest of the car and I'll fit some D1 lights to it

Check this D1 for sale on Carsales in Melbourne. It has had the D2 headlight and indicator upgrade fitted. (Not D2a lights)

It still has D1 indicators .

Looking at D1 & D2 headlights, there's not much (if any) difference & the mounts appear the same.

true you may very well have to buy another d2 but then you would have 2 and if you had a problem with one you could still drive the other!!!

as far as i was aware you could only do the headlight upgrade to d2's that hadn't had it done 99 onwards as the guard is slightly different

so when fitted to a d1 it leaves a massive gap wingside behind the light cant really explain it better than that i wish i could find one of my landrover mags there is a white disco on the front looks like it had been done up for rallying with the comerical back stickers and everything you could see it on that where he has fitted them to a d1

i wanted to do it to i looked into it when i was in the uk doesn't mean it cant be done just going on what i have seen and heard
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
