I still have standard bushes. This is where I thought I could possibly be losing flex, I just had to make sure that my front springs weren't too firm.

They're actually a trucking AC business, but they're also heavily into extreme 4WDing etc.

The Haultech bushes do work to a degree. I ran them for a while but

1- they dont last long if you flex the vehicle alot.

2- In our vehicle with the weight of the Isuzu, winch, bar etc you can get some brake steering if you hit the brakes hard. ie the diff can flex more in relation to its position on the radius arms due to the bushes.

I have a hinged radius arm you can try??

The thing is your "static" flexing the the vehicle.

The front wont flex as well as it can with the rear level on the ground...

AND as for traction from big articulation, Bull****!

A lightly loaded tyre sitting on the ground will do NOTHING.....

Sure it looks good, but its useless!

Lockers are traction, flex is body stability.

Oh yeah, and the flex from Haultech bushes is OK..

But I flogged out 2 sets in under 6 months of mild offroad play on weekends, and mainly highway running,

YOu can change to the Haultech holey bushes or get the older radius arm bush (has only inner and out tube, where as the later ones have a third sleeve in the centre of the rubber reducing flex).

The holey bushes only lasted me about 4 months when I had them, but mine where one of the earlier sets which I have herd they are now using a different compound and alot of people have been stretching them alot further in the use department.

The standard bushes should be rubber, if your not using rubber bushes, go out and get rubber and replace em all. If they are very old, it might be time to replace them anyways.

You will get better flex on the trail as opposed to just jacking a wheel up in the driveway (as has already been mentioned), so maybe do afew trips and get some idea of how your vehicle flexs while climbing and decending and offcamber and you will see that it should be using most if not all of the shock travel.

I have tested both in the field and on the driveway, with and without the front swaybar connected and there doesn't appear to be much in it. I will look into playing around with the bushes first though before replacing the springs and trying again. Thanks all for your advice.
