Hey mate! It's been like this since I got it in 2003. Different plugs etc. I have just put in iridium plugs but it's still the same. I'll try and call around 9am if that suits?
Have you checked plug gap, was it the same with old plugs?? cold starting becomes difficult with excessive gap
May be off, to melbourne tomorrow to look at an RR, but give me a bell regardless, and i'll let you know if I'm around, you can steal my fuel pressure gauge and play till your hearts content, thanks again for your advice regarding unreg to

had rovercare check the fuel pressure and I can now rule this side of the problem out. Thanks again.
did they check to see if there was still presure in the fuel rail after it had beem switched off.......
or only checked the fuel pressure whilst the engine was running.......
turn the ignition on for a few seconds.....then off and back on again for two or three times before you try and start the engine......
see if this makes a difference......
what it should do is prime up the fuel system to full pressure......so when you do crank the engine over it should fire straight away.....
I tried what you recommended. 1st time I tried today I did it 3 times. Took the kids to the pool and an hour and a half later when we got back in the car, I did this 10 times.
Still no go.
I have compression, fuel and spark. What's left?? Though I must add that on checking spark today again, it was a bit weak on startup but once it cranked over, spark was stronger.
It was injectors. I replaced the original old ones with Ford Yellow top 4-hole injectors. Got them off EBAY for $190 to my door and paid $155 to have them put in. First start everytime and no stench of fuel anymore.
